I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at CARVANA (Phoenix, AZ) in Apr 2015
Interview
I went through a phone screen with the Talent Manager, a first round in-person interview in which I met several members of the company, and a second round in-person interview in which I met with one of the co-founders. The whole interview experience was very pleasant and I immediately felt right at home and excited. The interviews I had here were much more about learning who I was and what I was looking for in a new opportunity, versus rigid and structured questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are you looking for in a new opportunity? What would your peers say are your strongest traits? What areas are you improving on professionally? What do you do for fun?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CARVANA (Tempe, AZ)
Interview
Phone screen followed by two rounds of video interviews.
The person I spoke with during the initial phone screen asked some rudimentary questions but it was overall a decent conversation. Then there was about a 7-10 day waiting period before I was invited to a video interview with another person who seemed completely disinterested off the bat. She essentially asked no questions and expected me to lead the entire call. There was another week long waiting period before I was invited to a third interview (video). That interviewer was 15 minutes late, and then had technical difficulties which forced us to switch to a phone call. Another week later I was notified by voicemail that they were not moving forward.

Question 1
What metrics have you tracked in your previous roles?
The process started with a Recruiter phone screen, followed by zoom interviews a week later and then an onsite round. The Recruiter extended a few days after the onsite round.

Question 1
Tell me about a challenge and how you overcame it.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at CARVANA in Sep 2022
Interview
The interview was approximately an hour long filled with about 15 questions.
Carvana does not practice compensation transparency.
I asked the recruiter for the approved compensation range. The answer (repeatedly) was “it’s a very large, broad range, what are you looking for?” My expectations were share however zero feedback given. The recruiter than quickly exited the call. Within about 3 hours, I received a generic decline letter. Once I questioned why my application was declined so fast, I was told the max for the role.
