CO OP Brand Co interview questions

I actually was interviewed twice for this position. Once last year and again this past May. It was a lengthy phone interview with the CIO with many vague and esoteric questions. Almost like solving riddles. Mind you I had gone through this exact process last year and wasn’t made an offer, but was contacted again in May for the same position. It was the same format and style as last time. Almost an hour (how he had that much time to spare makes me question his responsibilities) on the phone talking about hypotheticals and best case scenarios. I answered all of his questions superbly, I might add. At the end of the interview he asked to me to write a “job spec” for the position (kind of a pointless and odd request) which I did and emailed to him later that day. I didn’t hear back for days. I finally received a follow up email saying they’re going with someone else. I feel like a dodged a bullet, honestly.
