      Lead Preschool Teacher Interview

      Oct 4, 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Franklin, TN
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Cadence Education (Franklin, TN) in Oct 2018

      Interview

The initial interview was very positive and upbeat. I was asked around 10 questions related to child care, mostly how I would respond in certain scenarios. I was then taken on a tour of the school. After we finished that, we picked a date for me to come back for my "observation." When I came back for that, I was taken to two different classrooms and left there for 30 min. each to observe and see where I thought I would fit. Once the director came back to get me, we talked in her office about compensation, benefits, etc. We went over the handbooks, I filled out paperwork, and then we picked a start date after my finger prints came back.

      Question 1

Most of the questions were "how would you handle: _____?" One I remember specifically is, "How do you know when you've done your job as a teacher?"

      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Cadence Education (New York, NY) in Jan 2023

      Interview

They contacted me through indeed. Asked me if I was interested. And i was. The day of the phone screen they didn't contact me at the time we set. I contacted them to see if there was an issue and they just said they should have done it and just gave me a number to contact me. Right after they called me which was already an hour later, no apology no nothing. The interview lasted less than 5min and they scheduled me for an in person interview. Once the date for the interview arrived, the school was closed due a holiday and they didn't even bother to reply to my email about it. If they do have this type of interaction with potential clients I'd probably would not choose it as a potential job. No wonder why they don't have staff.
