I interviewed at Canadian Partnership Against Cancer
Interview
This was a long involved interview process. Screening by the HR person one week after I applied. The 1st interview was a panel interview a week later, They send you the questions for the interview about 15 minutes in advance, so not enough time to actually use them to prepare answers. A week after that I was schedule for a 2end panel interview, in which I needed to prepare and present a powerpoint on a hypothetical project they are thinking of working on. This was a pretty intense research assigment, and took me the entire weekend to prepare. After this I was told they would make a decision, but then I was asked to perform a 4th interview with the director of the department a week later. I was told by her a decision would be made within a week, but after this I did not hear back from them, and I needed to follow up twice to find out I did not receive an offer. All in all it took over a month of interviewing not to receive an offer. I was unhappy they forgot to inform an advanced applicant they were not offered the job, I had an internal referrence and guidance throughout the interview process. The internal person told me that they don't really expect a lot of specific prior experience as this position is considered entry level in the org, but I found during the interview this was not true, and they were very focused on my prior experience, which in my case was substancial.

Question 1
Make sure to prep for the healthcare equity questions. Pretty high brow in the clouds academic thinking, but that's what their whole philosophy is built on.

Interview
Received some of the interview questions 30 minutes before hand. Everyone was very kind and asked follow-up questions. Felt like they were interested in hearing my responses. I heard back within a week.

Interview
Horrible experience. HR representative looked bored. Applied for two positions and they selected me to interview for only one, then said I would have been perfect for the other position during the interview. They did not give me the chance to interview for that other position since it was too late. They also asked for skills that were not outlined in job description.
