I sent an email reply to their job posting. My email was followed with a phone interview, asking about my writing experience and if I would be able to cover various community topics. During the phone interview, I was asked to submit samples of my writing. I sent them other articles I had written in the past on relevant topics. After my writing samples had been reviewed, I was hired as a freelance writer.
