Initial Contact / Screening Interview Often a short phone call or online interview with HR or a recruiter. Purpose: confirm qualifications, availability, salary expectations, and basic fit. First-Round Interview Conducted virtually or in person with hiring managers or team members. Focuses on skills, work experience, and motivation. May include general behavioral questions (e.g., "Tell me about a time you solved a problem"). Assessments / Tests (if required) Some roles involve technical tests, case studies, presentations, or role-play exercises. Used to evaluate problem-solving, technical knowledge, or communication skills. Second-Round / Panel Interview More in-depth, often with multiple interviewers. Covers technical expertise, cultural fit, and how you would add value to the team. Final Interview Usually with senior management or executives. Focuses on long-term goals, leadership qualities, and alignment with company values. Reference Checks Employer contacts previous employers or references to confirm work history and performance. Offer Stage If successful, you receive a job offer (sometimes conditional on background checks).
