Hey there! Kevin here, Catalyst co-founder and COO. First off, I would like to deeply and sincerely apologize if I came off abrasive, condescending or dismissive in any capacity. I care a lot about my personal brand and how to show up as a human-first leader which I believe would be supported by people who know me internally at Catalyst and externally! If you read the things I post about on LinkedIn, being people-centric and kind is one of the things that I always lead with.
Either way, that is certainly not how I might have showed up here or made you feel so I am really sorry about that. If you're open to sharing any feedback to me directly, please feel free to do so.
As for some of the points made above - typically if I don't have a resume I have to use LinkedIn to have some direction on this person's background, where they worked, what kind of stuff they worked on, etc. Also, one of the key things that I always do in every interview especially if it doesn't work out is 1) offer feedback on the spot so they can get better for their next interview and 2) offer to introduce them to people in my network.
I've done that for just about every interview in the past few months and you might even be one of them! If that were not the case I'd still love to take the opportunity to do so. I'm a big pay-it-forward believer! One of our top Account Executives is someone who I wasn't able to move forward with at one point, I gave feedback on the spot, helped them get another job somewhere else, and they ended up coming back to Catalyst!
