It started out with a first interview with the supervisor over acquisitions which I felt went really well! Our personalities meshed great which was great! A the end of the interview she told me, "I think we would work perfectly together!" About a week later I got called in for a second interview with the president of the company. This interview also went super well! He mentioned to me that I was a very strong candidate because of my social media marketing background and he said that I would fit right in with the company. About a week after that I got called into a third interview with two really nice ladies that were perfectly nice and seemed to like me a lot. As I left they told me they would be excited to work with me. Leaving those interviews I felt very good about my chances for the job! Seeing as EVERY interviewer straight up told me that I would fit in and they would love to work with me. They told me they would get back with me in about 3 days whether I got the job or not. A week later, the president of the company emailed me and told me he appreciated my time spent interviewing and my time spent as an intern. But that they decided to go a different direction and not hire me. I was confused for 2 reasons. First, they all seemed to love me. And second, I never interned with them. So I emailed him back and asked for a clarification and never got an answer back. Which I thought was very unprofessional. The whole thing seems weird. I feel like it's exceptionally unprofessional to tell the person who is interviewing how much they like them and that they are excited to work with them and then not hire them. It was stupid. Absolutely stupid. If you are a strong and qualified candidate for the job, don't bother interviewing them. They only like hiring crap people.
