I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Chandigarh University (Gharuan) in Jun 2016
Interview
Interview Process was not rigorous nor it is very easy. There is a written examination followed by an interview and presentation to the Hod and after proper recommendation another round with honorable Vice Chancellor sir after that a session with HR was held, the degrees and background check was also done. The questions in the written exam were based on communication skills however the presentation was on any topic of the candidates choice.
Panel interview, then meeting with the director, and at last, salary discussion. It was very professional. An interview process involves screening resumes, multiple stages like phone/video/in-person interviews (introduction, Q&A, role-fit), assessments, and background checks to evaluate a candidate's skills, experience, and cultural fit, culminating in an offer or rejection. Preparation includes researching the company/role.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Chandigarh University
Interview
The interview process typically begins with the screening of applications, where candidates are shortlisted based on academic qualifications, research experience, and teaching background. Shortlisted candidates are then invited for a subject-specific interview conducted by a panel of senior faculty members to assess technical knowledge, teaching aptitude, and research potential.
This is followed by a demo lecture or teaching presentation, where candidates are evaluated on their communication skills, subject clarity, and classroom engagement. In some cases, a research presentation is also required to showcase the candidate’s contributions and future research plans.
The final stage involves a discussion with the administrative or HR panel regarding institutional policies, salary expectations, and role responsibilities. The final selection is made based on overall performance across all stages, and the selected candidate is issued an official appointment offer upon approval by the academic committee or governing body.
