Very straight forward. I got to shadow some therapists and ask questions. Helped to see my potential day there and the environment. Everyone was super welcoming and wanted to see everyone succeed.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Child's Play (Ashburn, VA) in Mar 2009
Interview
I came in, asked to fill out an application and was given one. I filled it on and returned it the next day with a copy of my resume. I was called 3 days later to do a "working" interview and was told to prepare to stay an hour. When I got there the person in charge had forgotten she had invited me (and she is the CEO) but welcomed me warmly and had me sit at the front and work with her assistant. 5 hours later I asked the assistant (after never seeing the CEO again) "does this mean I have the job?". The assistamt laughed and said she had no idea so I just left. 1 week later I was called back to do an interview with the CEO, who hired me on the spot and promoted me within 3 months to Director. Red flag, anyone??? NO ORGANIZATION IN THIS COMPANY!
