I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Chronicle (CA) (Mountain View, CA) in Apr 2019
Interview
Initial phone screen with recruiter. Followed by onsite and video interviews. The composition of the interview panel was great. It included other recruiters, people ops team members, leadership and future clients and recruiting stakeholders. I was very impressed by the talent and the thoughtfulness.

Interview
Was reached out to by a sourcer. Had two calls with her to learn more. The first call was great and she was very informative and engaging. Had a follow up call where her demeanor was completely different - she was curt and sounded rushed as though she just wanted to end the call as quickly as possible, and didn't have any interest in what I had to say. She said she'd get back to me with next steps but I never heard from her again. As a recruiter, everyone understands that the candidate experience is incredibly important, even if a candidate isn't a fit. A good recruiting experience will leave rejected candidates with a positive impression of the company, and a feeling that their time spent with the company was worthwhile and valued. This experience was definitely not the case.
