The recruiter sent me a Calendly to schedule an interview. I scheduled for the following week, and then received an email on Sunday asking to reschedule because she wasn't available. Totally understandable, but I think this foreshadowed the rest of my experience. Before our interview I sent an email asking for clarification on the job because the role title in the email was different from the job description, and the original job description had been taken down. I just wanted to make sure we were aligned on what role I was interviewing for. I never received an email back. The recruiter was 12 minutes late for our interview, barely even acknowledged that she was late (I had even sent an email after 7 minutes had passed to confirm that I had the right time), seemed totally disinterested in speaking with me, and asked questions that didn't seem super relevant to the role. She then asked me if I had questions. I had four prepared, ranging from the role, team, and company. Every question I asked she replied with "that's a question for the hiring manager." Full stop. I honestly had to stop myself from laughing out loud because the conversation felt so tense and bizarre, regardless of my efforts to turn it around. The interview ended after 13 minutes and I received a canned rejection email a week later. In retrospect, it feels like I dodged a bullet.
