I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Clipboard in Sep 2022
Interview
As others in Operations noted, I was emailed with a request to put together a sales process without any conversation first. Nor was I given a call as a heads-up/confirmation that I received the email assignment. A few days after submitting the assignment was told I role and company stage was not a good fit. The rejection came from a different employee than the original request came from, who has a Sales Rep title. I never spoke to anyone.

Interview
The technical interview process was thorough and structured, and I appreciated the depth of the questions. However, I left the process feeling unclear about the actual hiring criteria and decision drivers. After completing both core and bonus technical components, getting all the answers correct well beyond what was asked, and having additional time remaining during the assessment, the final rejection was attributed to “where the company is at,” without specific feedback.
For candidates investing significant preparation time, more concrete feedback or clearer role calibration would improve the experience. Transparency around shifting priorities or changing role expectations would also help set expectations appropriately.
Overall, the technical bar appeared high, but clarity around decision-making and alignment could be strengthened.
I would advise against applying they will just waste your time.

Take home assessment in python. 90 minutes. Expect to write alot of code to show skills.
Wasn't sure if this company was a scam. Very odd interviewing requests posed as progressive techniques to better understand candidates. There's a reason real companies don't follow this logic. If this is a real company, I can only conceive the turnover must be very high. Red flag.
