They expect a lot of free work as the very first step in the interview process that actually counts (there's a discovery call first, but it's just for the applicant's benefit and doesn't count towards winnowing down the applicant pool).

Believe all the negative reviews, do not bother applying with this company! Applied online and within an hour I got an invitation to submit a case study - 1st red flag, they must send a case study to every person that applies, which only contributes to the lack of care and feedback given to the recruitment process. Submitted a case study response (which btw had extremely vague information to go off of and no tips or guidelines at all), only to receive an email of rejection with 0 feedback. Pathetic process considering how much time and effort people are required to spend.
