      Financial Operations Intern Interview

      Jun 25, 2026
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Cloover in Jun 2026

      Interview

      1. First interview was initial HR interview. Very short, around 15 minutes. They asked me if I am willing to work for 12 hours because they are young startup and "when we see green light - we catch it ASAP". As well I was asked what will I do if it is my first working day and my onboarding manager has vacation. Clearly 8-8 culture and no onboarding. 2. Second interview was with hiring manager. 20 minutes. Guy directly told me that he has never interviewed for this position and moreover he is going to leave company. No tech questions at all. Just chit-chatting. Managers are crazy and make their financial specialists automate processes using Claude Code. Issue is that this guy clearly stated that he knows nothing about code and cannot even tell what they are using except Python. He has bo idea. Whatever Claude gives him. 3. Received tech assignment. 3 parts. Pretty easy. Did it. Sent it back. 4. Interview with finance team leader. 30 minutes. No tech questions again. Just how can i be helpful for the company. Oh, almost forgot. If I could have superpower what would it be? In the end he told that he will send me tech assignment. I told him that it was already done. He promised to check it and arrange interview with founder. 1.5 weeks later I received rejection. Asked for feedback. No answer. I guess in the end my hypothetical superpower was not good enough for them.
