1 hour behavioral STARS style interview. Was clear and the interviewer was very kind. Good conversation and straightforward expectations from employment. Interviewer was open about discussing salary, benefits, work-life, location, and more during the interview, I appreciated the transparency.

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Cognizant (Amsterdam)
Interview
Applied online, got invited to a first interview. Before even introducing ourselves the interviewer pressed me on how many applications and interviews I get, demanding numbers for each stage of interviews. Then she started saying that she’s asking because there are 3 rounds of interviews with hiring managers to come, and then potentially an interview with a client. The last one struck me as odd, you’re getting your clients to meet with someone who isn’t even a part of your company yet? Pretty strange in consultancy companies, seemed a bit of a red flag to me. Ended the interview short when we discussed salary. She said for someone with 4+ years experience the max range is 50k, which is way below the market salary. No bonus or extra compensation available. This is despite saying salary is “competitive” in their application page.

Question 1
Literally just asked me about other interviews, and why I am leaving my company. What’s the probability of staying with current company if they negotiated a better offer after. Seems the interviewer is not even interested in getting to know my experience.
