I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Cognizant (Coimbatore) in Jul 2016
Interview
I am a mechanical Enginnering Graduate and the hiring process was through my campus. There were three rounds in total -
*Written test
*Technical Interview
*Personal Interview
Written Test:
This round consisted of questions related to Quants,Verbal and Logical. It is very easy to crack.Just refer to AMCAT Pattern Previous year questions, the same will be repeated here. There will be minimum Cut-Off for each section.
Technical Interview:
This is a one to one interview process. The questions will be related to technical side and will be mostly from your areas of interest or what you have put in your resume.
Personal Interview:
A easy one, they just look for your interest in joining their company. Communicate Fluently to Clear this round!!
Very easy fireside chat. No technical interview. For clients mostly simple coding: reverse a string, anagram, impl linked list, basic sql query etc for associates. For sr and manager it may be more advanced.
The interview was primarily technical, concentrating on C#, .NET, SQL, and API concepts. Questions tested understanding of core principles and practical application. The process was straightforward, professional, and focused on technical depth.
I applied online and got a calll back, had 4 rounds in total. first was a behavioral phone call just casual talks about your skills and when can you start working and general questions, then two coding rounds in hackerrank - was asked to code in java although the job was for python and finally HR.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Cognizant (Pune) in May 2026
Interview
Interview process was straight forward. Two technical Interview L1 and L2 rounds happened. L1 was easy with basic java questions. But L2 was the actual interview. They were asking every concept very deeply.
