I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Cognizant (Hyderābād) in Apr 2018
Interview
I have 5 years of experience in Java. Senior personnel interviewed me. He will be around 40. He is the worst interviewer I have ever met. I got irritated totally at his attitude. Asked all theoretical questions. Told him Spring 4 MVC flow and I thought he understood. But he asked me to explain using annotations. Actually I did explain him using annotations. He was looking at the manager desk beside him when I was answering him. He does not have patience. When I was answering a question he does not allow me to finish and goes for another question. He asked me java 1.5 features when we currently are using 1.8. For a question on Filter, he told me he can control request from going to filter even though we have a filter in web. Xml. I argued we can't do that unless we remove filter or may be we need to change url-pattern. He disagreed and when I asked him how do we that, he can't answer it. It's not about my technical skills, but I am disappointed with his 'high' attitude. I feel I have wasted 3 hours of my time.
