Being an ex-employee of this organization I was in high spirit to go for the interview and hoping for a positive response. They generally have 3 rounds of interview where 1st is a technical round if selected 2nd would be a manegerial round and finally you are asked to fill a CIS (candidate information sheet) with details related to your experience, education and salary.
After clearing all the rounds the real problem begins with the HR round. They are the eventual deciding body so it doesn't matter if you did exceptionally well in the technical round or you have fantastic communication skills because these factors increase your market value and that is definitely not what they are looking for!
They want people with minimum salary expectations which is understandable but even this is not clearly communicated by the HR.
During my interview they said that my last rating when I left CTS was the reason that my profile could not be processed but for the record no management ever gave a great rating to someone who is leaving the organization it is by default that they are the Scapegoats. If this is the scenario then like many other organization they should put a rule that NO ex-employee allowed. But since I had good contacts in the organization I shared my feedback with them for which they were amazed and one of them also enquired to the HR for the same. Then again the same HR told that the issue was my salary not the rating. So they could have told the truth itself, without even going for a negotiation you cannot directly shut down a candidate after a day long process and that too when the candidate is well deserving.
This was for the Kolkata centre guess the HR should have some transperancy when they expect the same from the resources atleast communicate the real reason.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Good questions by technical interviewer.
More of a requirement based questions rather that Googled ones
First there will be a screening round ,most probably a telephonic or video call followed by a Managerial round
Lastly a client round where you will be asked about your day to day contribution in project
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Cognizant (Winston-Salem, NC)
Interview
Screening from a cognizant employee via a phone/teams call, sometime involving a scenario based coding question or a tell me a time when kind of questions, then a client round interview.
