I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Cognizant in Jan 2024
Interview
I got a call from HR about available date for an interview. I joined the interview and interviewer was available already and I introduced myself for a minute. Interview started at 11:45 and considering introduction for a minute. Then after, he asked concepts like OOPS, what is encapsulation, is-a relationship, Java 1.8 features, interface, springboot and microservices questions, I answered almost all questions to the point. Around 15 questions were asked, I answered all considering each answer takes a minute. He winded the discussion within 15 minutes saying you need to improve and cut the call then and there. I felt it as rude. He might have said to answer the questions through examples. I did my part but he was definitely rude. And then HR called and just one sentence, you did not clear the round and cut the call. Even rude. I hate this discussion and would never want to be part of.

The interview process included an initial HR screening followed by a technical assessment to test my Java skills. After that, I had one or two rounds of technical interviews focusing on coding, problem-solving, and frameworks like Spring Boot.
