The interviews were pretty invasive and inappropriate. Very few questions were asked regarding my work history and abilities. They said I would not even be there if they didn’t think I could perform the job tasks, and they were seeking a personality fit. I was repeatedly asked about my personal life, if I was married, what my partner did, if we had children, where they went to school, etc. I got the sense that they were concerned about my ability to manage family with work and simultaneously gave the impression that there were no boundaries for them to differentiate work/home life. One interviewer told me if I am the type of person who likes to keep my work and personal life separate, I would not fit in with the tight knit group. I withdrew my resume before I heard back regarding a decision.
