Initial telephone interview with the HR Manager, followed up by an in-person interview, a few days later.
The interview was informal and held in a local coffee shop as 'all the meeting rooms were booked'. Interview went well, good exchange, little questions on experience but lots of information shared on the company. Interview lasted 1 hour. Parted ways with the understanding I was being called back for a 2nd interview the following week with the CFO & CEO but needed to check dates and would confirm.
Then complete silence. A few days passed, followed up with a LinkedIn message, which was read, but still nothing. Its been almost 1 month and no communication whatsoever, even to say I was not successful.
From a very positive, first impression and meeting with the HR Manager, to complete radio silence is hugely disappointing.
The company maybe good at what they offer, product wise but they need to ensure anyone engaging with them have a positive experience, regardless of the outcome. Banbury is a small town and any local recruiters will be well connected, so for a company built on reputation, and providing a first class service to its clients, you may wish to think your recruitment processes and strategy.
