The second step, the Excel test, is an extremely stupid way to evaluate a trader.
I am a quant by training and use real programming languages, so I couldn't remember how to use one or two functions to do the small task faster. In the end, it took me 1 minute longer than the 10 minutes allowed, and I think that's why I failed the test.
