      Hardware Engineer Interview

      Sep 22, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at CoreWeave in Aug 2024

      Interview

This company isn't actually hiring. Interviewed for the hardware engineer GPU Infrastructure position. I checked all the boxes. My qualifications exceeded what they were asking for. During the interview the manager seemed uninterested with everything I had to say but said I did really well and they were excited to continue the conversation. A few weeks later I found out why. The position was relisted with a lower salary, benefits slashed, and the full time remote removed. This is a trend is common across all of their postings. They're trying to see how desperate people are. Please don't waste your time with this scam of a company

      Interview

Contacted for an interview 2 months after applying for the role and waited two weeks to get on the HR persons calendar. The HR screening was simple, just reaffirming interest and asking salary expectations. The HR person was a little crass, cut me off in the middle of talking due to time constraints. I assume it was because she had back to back meetings all day. Next was the managerial interview. Typical behavioral questions. We had good rapport, but the manager seemed completely uninterested during my responses and couldn't really answer my questions about the company due to their tenure only being a month long. Overall, it seems like they had already made up their mind. When I asked for individual feedback (because I thought the interview went well) I received none. I thought start-ups were trying to break the norm?
