I was excited about the potential to work for a company that appeared passionate, professional, and determined to get the employee and customer experience right. I felt that the screening call with the recruiter went well, and I was told that I would receive a call back within a couple of hours to discuss moving forward in the process, as the recruiter felt that I would be a good fit for the company. I never received that call despite following up several times, and decided to let it go. I completely understand not wanting to move forward with a candidate, but it is extremely strange and unprofessional to simply ghost.
