Question 1
During the group session we were asked what animal we would be. Bit bizarre and I struggled to find an interesting answer.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Currys (Peterborough, England) in Sep 2019
Interview
A straightforward application for followed by a short phone call asking when I can come in for a face to face interview as well questions about availability and hours etc. The face to face interview wasn't too difficult, but it followed a more personality based interview with the store manager. I actually applied for the Carphone Warehouse section of the Curry's mega-store but the store manager preferred to have me working for the Curry's vision department.

Question 1
Describe a time where you demonstrated good teamwork to overcome a challenge in the past?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Currys (Aberdeen, Scotland) in Mar 2019
Interview
The interview process involved being interviewed by the store manager and assistant manager and was a competency based interview with questions on behaviour and customer service. There is an activity where you have to recommend a phone for a customer of your choice, for example, an older person or someone who is into photography etc. and you get 10 minutes on shopfloor to gather information and take notes, and then you come back to share your recommendation, it's all about what phone you have chosen and why for this particular customer.

Question 1
Name a time you had to deal with a difficult situation, what did you do and how did you overcome it
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Currys (Dublin, Dublin) in Oct 2018
Interview
Very relaxed and friendly interview. The interviewer had a sheet of paper with some basic, most common interview questions. He didn't liked them either, so we both had a good laugh. There was a role-play part at the end, which he didn't want to do as a role-play to not make it awkward, but just wanted to see how would I solve a problem. The problem was that a customer bought a phone "about 25 days ago" (actually more than 28 days ago), and the phone stopped working. So, he came to the store to return it (because there is a policy that if it stops working within 28 days and there is no physical damage, it is replaced by a manufacturer). As the manager was out on that day, I had to solve the problem. The idea was that I ask the customer for a receipt and check the date of purchase. As the 28 days passed, I told him that we cannot replace it, but I offered him to help him out myself, and if I can't help, we could send it for a repair as it's still under warranty. Basically, it was important that I solved it on my own and that I didn't tell him to come back another day when the manager is in, because the manager would tell him the same thing, as there is no other solution. I think this was the most important part of the interview, and the interviewer liked that I offered the customer my support on the spot.
