I applied online. I interviewed at Currys (Bedford, England) in Oct 2023
Interview
There are two interviews, one is a telephone interview when your application is shortlisted. They inform you that you are shortlisted, your availability in terms of days of the week and weekly hours of work requirement. For me I said I need 20 hours or may be more sometimes and any day of the week is okay.
For the face-to-face interview, I was called in the store- Bedford store. The manager deliberately asks you to wait for 5 mins- this is for you to go around the store and have an opinion about the store in general, they ask to tell one good and one bad thing about the store. There is a situation-based question which would be very easy if you practise a few instances of working in a retail store. Most of the questions are general questions, tell me about yourself, why you want to work here and what skills you thing make you the best fit for the job.

What skills make you best fit for this role?

First initial phone call, standard interview where they asked questions on motivations
then second interview role-playing of a selling of a television, then once again motivational questions asked again but it was easier
