Initial communication with the talent team was really good, lots of insight into the role and the process. It was explained that a first interview would take place, followed by a second if successfull. The initial interview went quite well and the process was a typical competency based format. I was advised I would hear regarding next steps, however receieved raido silence for weeks following. Having been involved in interviewer processes for my own hires, this is really poor practice, I am always very concious to inform candidates as soon as possible and provide feedback where at all possible. I followed up with a polite request to see if there had been any progress, which was met with a very vauge "we are still in the process and will come back asap" - several weeks later, I recieved a generic auto generated email to say the role was no longer open or available. It is absolutely understandable that these things happen, however lack of communicaiton is not. Poor form, it takes all of 5 minutes to follow up with an email to candidates to inform them of the process.
