I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Cygnet (Sheffield, England)
Interview
The interview had strength based and scenario based questions, as well as one to test knowledge (can you name all the different types of abuse that people can face).
Interview process was very quick with the interview lasting an hour and follow up email within the same week.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
how could you support somebody in distress who does not speak english
An average interview. they started asking about myself, followed byy knowledge based questions on the company, and the field i was going into. then the majority were scenario based - 'what would you do if?..'. You are marked on a point system, so give as much detail as possible, not just one word responses.
Not bad. I applied online and I was booked for an interview. Great company to work with; all staff are friendly and ready to work. I can't wait to start my new role.
Was unorganised, lady who was supposed to conduct the interview wasn’t in the building and clearly hadn’t made any other staff members aware- was interviewed by a member of staff on the day and offered the job at the end of it which made me feel quite on the spot! Especially considering I really struggled to find clear information on the specific job role through the website, so I actually found out most of it during the interview.
