I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Cytora in May 2024
Interview
Call with talent lead which was the normal introduction type. Then did a take home test for many hours, handed it in, and was ghosted. I don't think they even downloaded it. Complete disregard of other peoples time. The least you can do is copy paste a rejection email?
Thank you for your feedback and apologies for the negative experience you have had in this process. I can assure you that you have not been ghosted, however due to the amount of delivery work the front end team has been focused on there has been a delay in the process.
Please feel free to get in touch with the talent lead for additional info around your application.
Best Regards,

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cytora (London, England) in May 2024
Interview
After the usual call with the recruiter comes a home task and then a session with part of the team to review your solution. There is a third stage where I didn't reach.

Question 1
Implement a web code editor (using a library), and a sidebar for navigating through files.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cytora in Mar 2024
Interview
Bad experience. I got the impression that they don't really want to hire.
1. Screening interview (30m): General questions about me, etc.
2. Take home assignment (4h - they say) : A web IDE like atom or vscode with a long list of specific requirements and bonus points. There's no time frame but they suggest that you finish it in 4h, which is impossible even for experienced developers if you want to make something decent.
3. Interview with 2 team members: Mostly questions regarding the solution for the home assignment and generic non-tech questions about the way I work etc.
After that step, I received a copy-paste email saying that they won't proceed to the next steps, with no specific feedback, other than "other candidates more closely matching the requirements of the role".
I'm quite suspicious with job ads that are out there for many months and my experience confirmed it. Their interview process is just a waste of time.
