      Sheet Metal Apprentice Interview

      Jul 18, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Bloomfield, CT
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at DUCTCO (Bloomfield, CT) in Jul 2015

      Interview

You have to fax a resume. You'll get an email to respond to then a call. The interview is in your size office. You'll be asked about your like dislikes, hobbies, and alot about your interests because the company invests less of money to put appendices through school, and want to make shure candidates want to commit to them. I was asked to give examples of time I took the initiative to learn more, who my mentors were and why I considered them mentors, how they and my past Co workers would describe me. The man that interviewer me was honest and frank about what they were looking for and invited questions by the candidate. I was given a tour of the shop, told alt the typical day, and shown the various machines. I was also told about what they expected from an apprentice. It was a very thorough non intimidating interview based on an honest exchange of what both the employer and the candidate were looking for.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Who were some of your mentors and why did you consider them good mentors.
