Had a first call with the recruiter, lasted about 30 mins. Then got a take home assessment challenge. The next stage after the assessment was to have an online interview discussing the solution to the assessment and your overall experience as an engineer
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Deel (Rio de Janeiro) in Mar 2026
Interview
Very fast and smooth interview process.
Everyone I talked to was very friendly and interested on getting to know me better.
First round is an interview with recruiter (you may be asked some technical questions here). Second was a code challenge they send you via email. Then, there’s a 1h technical interview with 2 engineers - I was asked about deep React questions then they asked me to create a component and, finally, an algorithm.
After the technical process, I had a meeting with a Director of Engineering for a behavioral interview. And, finally, there’s a culture fit with a Deel employee.
Every meeting I had was very insightful and truly a knowledge exchange.
I applied online. I interviewed at Deel in May 2025
Interview
I started the process in May and everything was completed within three weeks. I received an offer and joined the company.
The first step was a call with the recruiter. It was relaxed and informative. The recruiter had all the details about the team and the role, and I had space to ask my own questions.
Then I received a take-home assignment. It wasn’t hard, but the goal was to write code that could be used in production. Based on that, they assess the seniority level. I received detailed and helpful feedback.
After that, I had a technical interview. It wasn’t focused on the assignment, but on concepts, how I think, and how I solve problems. Since I applied for a frontend role, there were several questions related to React documentation.
Then I had two more interviews. One was the Elevate interview, where we discussed how I would act in certain situations. The other was the Culture fit interview, focused on team fit and company values. Both were pleasant and natural conversations.
Two days later, I received the offer. Overall, the process was fast, transparent, and everyone I spoke with was professional and kind.

The first interview with the recruiter was very nice, he explained the company vision and mission very well. I loved the discussion. Gave good insight into the company processes and what to expect as a frontend engineer at Deel
