I was contacted on LinkedIn by an internal recruiter. I did an initial screening with the recruiter. The first stakeholder interview with the CMO was cancelled due to an emergency and that same day, an interview with the hiring manager was scheduled. I had a good discussion and rapport with the hiring manager and came away with a favorable impression regarding the role and the opportunity. A few days later I received a message from the recruiter that after connecting with the team, they decided to go with a candidate that was further along in the process of interviewing. I do appreciate that they followed up promptly and only wish they would've given me a fair chance to participate in the process for consideration.
