Horrible Interview Experience
I was initially contacted by a recruiter from Deliverect to see if I was interested in an open role. After our call, I moved quickly through the interview process. Before any offer or final stage was discussed, they requested my identification and passport details to “verify employment eligibility,” which felt unusual at that point.
They then assigned me a lengthy case study that required considerable time and effort to complete. I was later invited to their Toronto office for an in-person presentation of my work. During the meeting, I received strong, positive feedback, and it genuinely felt as though they were preparing to move forward.
After that, communication stopped entirely. Despite multiple follow-ups on my end, I eventually received a vague message stating that the hiring decision had been deferred until further notice, with no clarity or timeline provided.
Overall, they collected sensitive personal information, had me complete an extensive case study, requested significant time investment, and then became unresponsive. The experience felt unprofessional. After speaking with others in the industry, I learned this is common with Deliverect
Based on my experience, I would not recommend engaging with this employer.
