I interviewed with four individuals, managers and HR, probably approximately 45 minutes each. It became clear that the National VP was determined not to hire anyone who did not have links / connections to other high performers in the industry. Linked-In was where he started. Interestingly, the top performer we both knew had retired and did not have a listing. The National VP was shocked that I asked him about his path. He said, "I thought I flew you in so I could interview You." That could have been a clue to me that communication and feedback was not ongoing. Ultimately, after I rotated among this team, room to room, the manager I would be reporting to said I received two 9's and one 8. On-boarding took "forever" despite being offered the position fairly quickly.
