I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Diamond Peak Recruiting (Chicago, IL)
Interview
I was invited to complete a phone interview. I would say that it was more of a screening call and less of an interview.
The interviewer actually never asked what my current role and responsibilities are. There was no resume review, and they never had my resume. They just asked basic questions like what salary I wanted, am I aware that the position was on-site, and to share what I know about the company, etc.
I received a rejection notice after about a week and a half and thought, “Well, that’s 10 minutes I’ll never get back.”
I would recommend that the hiring process is revamped and that the interview guide is expanded to reflect an actual interview. Allow the candidate to ask questions to understand the culture of the team, learn the make up of the team, and defining what success feels like.
I believe there is a learning opportunity that can be had with every interview. Unfortunately, this provided none but maybe that is all I need to know about the culture of Diamond Peak.
