      Application

The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Dragonfly (MA)

      Interview

The recruiters are extremely friendly but the rest of the process was not. The Executive Screen was the second interview and the interviewer seemed uninterested and like they weren’t paying attention. The panel interviews were uninformed and they were not able to answer questions about the industry and overall the team didn’t give a collaborative vibe. I think they were looking for more examples of how you would be able to do a bunch of menial or entrepreneurial tasks. Compensation seemed lower than other startups.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Dragonfly (MA) in Nov 2021

      Interview

After 10 (yes… TEN) interviews over the course of 5 months, dragging me along and “waiting for acquisitions to go through” they finally called to let me know they are not extending an offer and they “don’t provide feedback”. Huge red flag! I had a positive interview experience up until interview #5, anything past that is wasting an interviewers and candidates time. They told me there was positive feedback from the interviewers and they really liked me and my background. I’m truly disappointed in the leadership team who has decided they don’t give feedback to candidates who have dedicated over 20+ hours of prep and interview time. I did not expect that from the entrepreneurial and innovative culture they claim to foster. How is anyone supposed to learn from this process or develop skill sets without feedback? They claimed a lot of companies don’t give feedback.. this is the first I have ever heard of that policy. I didn’t expect such a slap in the face of “no feedback” after committing so much time to interviewing for them and a lot of in depth research. It’s not easy to learn about the background of this company as they are very private. Interview Process: Recruiter screen Three 30 minute interviews with various managers Meeting w/ recruiter Meeting w/ CPO Meeting w/ COO Meeting w/ hiring manager (director of Ops) Meeting w/ CEO Meeting w/ Recruiter Tons of behavioral questions focused around analytics, critical thinking, team building, collaboration, problem solving, entrepreneurship & innovation. Case study that requires retail math and making supply chain and merchandising decisions at the best financial cost to the company.

      Strategy & Operations Manager Interview

      May 19, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Boston, MA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Dragonfly (MA) (Boston, MA) in May 2021

      Interview

The interviewer was late to the interview, appeared unengaged, and was just going through the motions. I did not get the sense that he cared to find a candidate to fill this role. The interviewer never explained the role or the company until I prompted him towards the end. The interviewer was clearly inexperienced and did not have the skills to carry out an interview necessary within the 30 minutes allotted. It appeared his questions were random and did not have much direction or reasoning. The questions asked seemed to be out of a random curiousity he personally had instead of directly related and targeted for the position and company. I don't believe the questions posted highlighted my direct experience and soft/hard skills. The interviewer asked me to run through my resume, however, interrupted me within the first few sentences so I did not actually get to speak about my direct experience. The interviewer admitted to not understanding or being aware of relevant industry trends and knowledge which is telling in itself and may have led him to not understand the responses I gave to his own questions.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      1. What was your proudest moment 2. He asked me about a tax form/tax filing for one of the organizations I support, which is irrelevant.
