I applied through a recruitment agency and was shortlisted for an interview. I was interviewed by the hiring manager and someone from HR. It consisted of technical and competency questions as well as questions such as "where do you see yourself in two years" - you know, the usual stuff.
The interviewers made it a point to make the interview feel informal in order to make the interviewee feel comfortable so that their real personality would show.
Near the end of the interview is was given a couple of sheets of paper to read up on which had an account scenario. They left the room for around 5mins and I had to pick out points from the scenario and comment on them (such as high risk situations which are easy to see if you already have experience in that sector).
I heard from various recruitment agencies that they are very "picky" in regard to job offers.
