The interview process was calm and welcoming. I had the opportunity to meet with both the owner and the head of accounting, and they were kind, approachable, and genuinely interested in getting to know me. As part of the process, I was given a short and simple assessment that included both math and reading/spelling sections. When I later asked about it, they explained that it’s something they do with all candidates—not as a challenge, but to make sure everyone is comfortable with the basic skills needed for the role. I appreciated their honesty and transparency in explaining the reasoning behind it.
