A recruiter contacted my friend on LinkedIn about a job opportunity, and he forwarded the link to me. I applied via Workday and was contacted by the recruiter two weeks later. The recruiter was friendly and promised to forward my CV to the hiring manager. A week later, we scheduled an interview with the Head of IT in Silchester Reading and the Global Head of IT. Both interviewers were exceptionally intelligent and approachable, and I felt the interview went well. Two days after the interview, HR informed me that the feedback was positive, but they had more interviews lined up and would get back to me within 10 days. A week later, they requested references, and I had to coordinate with former colleagues to get them, as my previous employers had strict policies regarding official references. Despite providing the references, I have not heard back from HR for over a month now. There were a few red flags throughout the process: `1: HR/Recruiter forgot to send the interview link, and I had to chase him down on LinkedIn to get it. 2: He didn’t follow through on the promised 10-day timeline for a final decision. 3: The job kept getting reposted on other job platforms every week with changes to the salary range Despite my positive interactions with the hiring managers, who were excellent, the delay and lack of communication from HR have been frustrating. The role has been open for over 70 days, and the prolonged waiting period has been discouraging.
