Interviewed with the CEO via Zoom, typical interview but when I began to ask my questions he completely dodged my question about what my day to day would look like and in hindsight I see why, and he responded about the business and the history (all on the website echoww.com)
Traveled to NY for an in-person interview, was told via email to set aside 3 hours as I was to see how the job was day to day.
I was seated in a room with 8 other people and I should've saw the red flags. The other individuals were there for the same job but through different companies.
I expected this to be an office job but I shadowed a Team Leader and 2 other associates and watched them set up a table and then proceeded to flag down people in order to gain fundraising for their client for an hour. The job listing and what I saw were TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS.
I’m not going to knock the Hustle but don’t lie to get people in the door and pull the rug from underneath them.
All very weird, was told my slot was at 11 but wasn’t seen until 12. Lots of candidates coming in and out but all being seen before me. I only got seen when I asked when it would be my turn. Taken to a room and given a sales pitch about the company and the clients they have. Asked when I could work and that was it. Second interview was another pitch where you had to take notes then fill out a questionnaire. Taking off one by one again and just asked when can you start.
After doing further research you can clearly see this is a scam... as a grad it’s frightening to think I could have taken this and been on commission only trying to pay my rent and bills ...
cool and quick and hr is very accommodating. the process was pretty quick as well
it was a very serious interview and the interviewer is very friendly. i am not sure if i will pass or not but lets see.
