I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at EcoOnline (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2026
Interview
It started of pretty well. I scheduled a screen call with Business Development Leader. Then I was scheduled for round two of interview a 30 min video call with Inbound Team Lead. During that interview Matt was present, That went smoothly too, Most of the time they were asking about my character and my skills. Then I was invited to the last stage interview for which they asked to prepare a presentation. The presentation had to cover:
1) Why should we hire you?
2) Why do you want to work for EcoOnline?
3) Why do you want to work in EHS?
4) 30/60/90 day plan to get yourself up to speed
So during last round of interview goes on. Business Development Leader and Inbound Team Lead plus HR and Sr. Global Director of Business Development, So as the interview goes as usual they ask me question why Sales and how I overcome challenges.
So after the interview is done, I was told to wait for a response till Thursday that week or the latest Friday, I wait till Friday no response, so I decide to touch base on Monday with them. I get response “I'm going to have to ask you to hold on for a little while longer” with no concrete time frame. Fast forward till next week monday I receive my short rejection letter. I follow up if I get any feedback. Most likely I wont be hearing a response.
It was a pleasant experience until the waiting and it leaves a bitter after tone for not providing feedback.

Interview
Interview process took about 2 weeks and wasn’t drawn out unnecessarily like some other tech companies. Interviewers were friendly and ‘human’. It never felt like they were trying to catch you out but rather that they wanted to create conditions for you to express yourself to the best of your ability.
