Thank you for sharing these insights. We understand that a multi-week process and extended on-site assessments can feel demanding. Our goal, however, is to identify outliers who thrive in high-intensity trading environments and have the resilience to tackle complex, real-time decisions. Part of why we do this is to give you a real taste of what day-to-day trading life can look like—lots of data, fast pivots, and zero downtime. We value feedback like yours because it highlights areas where we can refine our approach while still maintaining a rigorous process. Our best wishes for finding a role that really clicks with your style and ambitions.

A four-week series of assessments, it’s a lot, we know, but it’s designed so we can really get to know you and for you to see what life at Edge Stackers is all about. It’s also designed to provide both depth and clarity for roles like trading where the stakes and demands are so high at the level we operate. We’re pleased you found it positive overall and appreciate your time and commitment. We wish you the best in your future endeavours!

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Edge Stackers (Brisbane) in Jan 2022

      Interview

The first stage of the process consisted of filling a word document with answers that are usually asked on an interview. Next stage was a set of documents where I had to select words from a list of very generic type of words, then explain my opinion about each of the company’s values. It felt like it was very tedious and sometimes meaningless. The job description was very vague as well and it was hard to understand what skills were required for the job except for “data entry skills” and “comfort with numbers”. Again, very generic. When I got to the “interview” it was actually not an interview, just the company’s coach (yes they have one, not sure what for) talking about the company itself. Was reasonably useful because one can’t find absolutely anything on the internet about the company, except for its generic website. There was no questions asked in the “interview”. Hard to say what’s their selection criteria.

      Question 1

No Questions, they just talked about the company.

We’re sorry to hear parts of the process felt tedious or unclear. We know it can be frustrating if a job description doesn’t spell out exactly what skills we’re looking for or if certain exercises feel repetitive- our process has evolved quite a bit in that respect. Our aim is to get a sincere understanding of the candidate’s strengths, interests and values to really ensure a strong fit – concurrently we want to give candidates insight into how we work. We appreciate your honesty and will take your feedback on board as we continue to optimise our processes in this area. Wishing you all the best on your journey.
