HR contacts you after you apply for a job. They schedule an interview and then send you the contact number and names of the people you will be interviewing with. When you get to the interview, it is a round table interview, so there is more than one employee interviewing you at the same time. The person you are interviewing with cannot discuss pay with you because HR handles that. So, you will not know what the pay range is unless you ask HR.
