I applied online. I interviewed at Ellevest (Nowhere, OK) in Aug 2021
Interview
First was a quick 20 minute call to learn more about the company and position.
Next was an interview with an Engineering Manager which went a little bit more in depth on the position.
Then there was a take-home assessment which was very straightforward and untimed.
After submitting my take-home, I didn't hear back for 2 weeks. When I checked in, I was told they've decided to keep my resume on file and move forward with candidates who were a closer match. I'm not sure if this meant they were unimpressed by my submission or if they had other offers out already.
Other than the lack of communication towards the end, it was a pleasant interview experience.
The interview process was fair and straightforward. Take-home coding challenge they said to not take more than an hour on. Technical interviews in 3 rounds. One reviewing the take-home challenge. One with a systems design focus. One with the hiring manager.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ellevest in Sep 2021
Interview
The entire interview process consisted of phone screens, a take home assignment, followed by a technical review of the take home assignment, pair coding on a problem, a cross team interview, and a project walkthrough. The entire process at Ellevest was extremely pleasant and was a great insight into the culture and environment at Ellevest. Madison was extremely helpful, informative, and went above and beyond in helping me reach the interview stage. During the interview, everyone I spoke to were pleasant and professional. The team members all seemed passionate and truly enjoyed working there. It was overall a great experience.
