The most disrespectful interview I had.
First, if you are not Korean, this place is not for you. Second, if you are Korean but does not have experience working for a Korean company, this place is also not for you.
I am a native Korean and English speaker with 5 years of experience working in the states. The hiring managers did not understand my resume in English. I requested the interview to be in English which they refused. During the interview process, I was asked for an introduction in English but based on the questions I received after, it was obvious they did not understand anything I said. Their questions were mostly about questioning the American corporate culture and business processes because they did not understand that there could be different ways businesses operate in the world. It was obvious they did not research or even read about my work experience. If my answers did not align with their expectations or what they knew, they repeated their understanding of my answers back to me in a sarcastic way. They reached out to me for an interview thinking they would create a position in Marketing for me but did not share the title of the role or the job descriptions/responsibilities.
The worst part was the 10 sec silence they kept throwing in. Also, it was very obvious they were going to pay you way below the average pay grade in America because when I mentioned how much I used to get paid, they went quiet.
Walk away, people.
