I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Engoo Tutors (Tokyo) in Dec 2017
Interview
After sending the CV, the company reached out via email and scheduled a Skype interview. The interviewer went through basic language and grammar knowledge check and presented the company in a professional and polite manner. After the interview which lasted around 10 minutes, I was contacted via email a week later and scheduled something like a training session and mock class. The training session was done via Skype with all other applicants in the group call. We went through basic rules and regulations and two mock classes. Immediately after this, I was informed I am hired. A week later I received my account details and I submitted my profile picture and introduction video.
It was remote, quick, and included a demo lesson at the time, this was in 2020. They were professional and kept to time as well. I had my camera turned on and also had a neutral background setup.
-show demo class.
-get some feedback afterward through email
-submit photos and video
-everything is done online. You don't need to go to the company and meet people in person.
The application process for an online ESL tutoring job was straightforward and user-friendly. The steps included submitting a resume, completing a brief interview, and demonstrating teaching skills. Overall, it was efficient and well-organized.
