Upon applying for the role, I was asked to rank my knowledge/expertise against a number of services that Enhance Media offer. I was also asked to provide a short answer to a handful of questions designed to understand if a candidate has a base knowledge of digital marketing.
Following an informal phone interview which asked the usual questions about previous work experience and areas of interest on the CV, I was invited to a face-to-face interview.
For the face-to-face interview, I was asked to prepare a presentation on SEO and GTM - neither of which were subjects I felt particularly knowledgable about. I conducted research and ensured I put together a presentation that closely met the brief given to me. Upon arriving to my interview, I met with Giles. He had a few more questions to ask about my previous experience and then asked me to deliver the presentation as though he were a client. I felt completely at ease doing so, and he had even pre-warned me that he would ask questions along the way. Most I could answer, and those I couldn't, I was honest about. This honesty seemed to go down well, and I obviously offered to come back with the answer in full detail at a later date.
The interview was conducted in the boardroom, which had already been prepared for my arrival and I was offered a drink as soon as I walked through the door - both helped to fight off those interview nerves.
The best start to the interview was the greeting. As I arrived at the office door, I was greeted by the office manager who was all smiles and very friendly - this very first impression set the tone for the rest of the interview.
