      Management Trainee Interview

      Nov 12, 2011
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Enterprise Mobility in Oct 2011

      Interview

I heard of Enterprise's recent hiring through an online article so I applied through their online applet. A day later I received an email to schedule a phone interview with the HR recruiter in the area. The phone interview was very basic, mostly describing the job and asking briefly about your resume. She described the job, the salary, and the hours from jump so there was not much surprise there. At the end she asked to schedule a one on one interview at her office a week later. At the 1:1 she asked some behavioral questions as well as why someone with an unrelated field would like to work for the company. ATTENTION: if you are already in the work world and switching companies, this will be a main focus in all the interviews so make sure you have a concise reason why you are leaving and what opportunities Enterprise offers that your current company does not. She was very enthusiastic and made the interview more like a chat than a grilling. A branch visit/area manager interview was scheduled for a week later once she informed the branch manager in my area. He called later that day to set a date. The branch visit was eye opening. Every employee was extremely busy, constantly moving and very focused. They all seemed to enjoy working with one another and the air of the office seemed face paced but enjoyable. After the observation, the area manager took me to the office for the formal interview. This interview was much more in depth and very behavioral. Asked questions about customer service, how to deal with disgruntled employees and customers, and how you handle stress. He then asked me to move on the next phase with the Regional manager. Overall, his enthusiasm for the company was contagious and I left the building feeling very optimistic. Finally, I met with the Regional VP a week later. There were 5 other interviews that day so I knew I needed to stand out. I approached this interview with the idea that I knew I was qualified for the job so make sure I promoted that in every way possible. Another very behavioral based interview, but this time I left a little less sure of how it went. She said I would have to wait until after the weekend to hear back which I was under the assumption that if I had gotten it, I would have gotten the offer on the spot. After the weekend, I got a call from the Branch Manager saying that I did well and they would like to extend me an offer which I accepted. Be aware, the base pay is around 26000 with incentives and paid overtime. From what Ive seen, most people make about 32000-35000 max first year. There is also an extensive amount of hours required so make sure you can handle the work life balance of a long workweek schedule.

      Interview

There were 3 rounds the first was easier the last one. That one was much more thorough and a little bit more challenging for certain questions. I felt a bit stumped, however they were all fairly aligned with the typical interview questions. Overall good but just be prepared

      Interview

Smooth and took about 2 weeks to complete. They're really interested in your ability to work in a fast paced environment and your ability to deal with an irate customer. It's a sales job after-all.

Tell me about a time you had to overcome adversity. What do you think is the most important part of sales? Why Enterprise?
