      Marketing Interview

      Nov 6, 2009
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Enterprise Mobility in Feb 2009

      Interview

I set up an interview at my schools career fair. The interviewer was very nice. They liked that I played on a sports team. She asked me all behavioral questions like when I made a sale and how I would do it in the future. They want to know that you will be apart of the team and be involved in and out of work.

      Question 1

The interview process was four interviews with various people in the department and team. It was pretty formal and there were standard “tell me about a time” questions that pertained to the role.

      Marketing Interview

      May 30, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Enterprise Mobility in Apr 2019

      Interview

I was interviewed by phone by the HR representative. I was then interviewed by the Chief Marketing Officer. As a company, Enterprise seems like a good place to work. The HR representative was very professional. However, the CMO was not. Good luck answering the CMO's questions -- many of which are not related to your skills as a marketer. He does not come from a marketing background and seems to be struggling to know how to best evaluate candidates. He appears to be trying to overcompensate by being aggressive. To the CMO, you are not an expert in marketing, but if you behave like a leader, you will find an expert who you can trust who will guide you and will help you. But, if you behave like a bully to candidates, you will be left with the one person who does not have other options. That's not the person you want advising you. To find the best candidate, treat them with the same level of respect that you expect them to treat you with. The interview process is a two way street. Also, be aware that the best marketers change companies every 2-4 years. If you are looking for someone who has been at the same organization 20 years, you will find the one person who is the most out of date when it comes to marketing. It's great that Enterprise has a culture to promote within. But, it is not the only positive path that exists -- especially in marketing.

      Interview questions [6]

      Question 1

You have not been staying at your jobs for long. We don't like job hoppers at Enterprise. Why are you such a job hopper?

What do you know about Enterprise? What were you surprised to learn about Enterprise when you researched us? What were you impressed by when you researched Enterprise?

      Question 4

I looked you up online. I see that in addition to your work, you also have a side business. What about that?

      Question 5

So, then there's the topic of relocation. We're in St. Louis. You are obviously in another city. How would you do it? Are you open to it? What would be involved? How would you make it happen?
